I notice all the backstays look much different than mine. When I put the backstay on hard it is right down to where it is constricting the tiller. Is there a bulletin on this somewhere? Further, I heard you mention connecting owners together, where was this to happen?

It's awesome to watch, no one talks except the tactician I love it. The skipper stears and the crew makes boat go quick. However when are professional sailors going to realise that hanging your body in half on the rail makes zero difference to just sitting on the rail. The only way to get the most amount righting moment is to move you weight as far outboard as possible. The only thing that can pull the boat down is gravity so the more mass you have the better. The life lines prevent you from moving outboard any further than sitting on the rail perhaps with you head out between life line. Having you head and hands facing the water does nothing but cause uncomfort.

Great video and great to listen in on the decisions. But they don't realise that hiking like that makes zero difference to making the boat flatter.

One thing I’ve learned from surfing is that you can help yourself catch waves a bit easier in lighter/medium wind if you move weight forward a bit.

What a fabulous looking boat, clearly the "prettiest girl at the dance", together with equally beautiful high tech sails. Going fast and looking good.

I would love one of these if our bed wasn’t in the fore peak… also the cat hides under the covers up there while we’re racing…

You list Ratchets and J-Bar at shrouds and I cannot figure out what this is. I am hoping it is an easier wat to adjust the rig tension as it is awful on the J/88 given it is done right beside a stanchion and up against a brace for that same stanchion.

Not all mains are built to hold any degree of load on the reefing lines & they are only there to take up the bunt of the sail, not to tie it to the boom.
